JGooMap plugin has the ability to embed a Google Map into a Joomla Article. There are various
options and properties that can be set. Some of these properties and attributes are only set when the map is
is displayed in the article.
- Resize Control
- In the bottom right corner of the map there is a resize control. This gives you the ability to dynamically
resize the map to a size that suits you.
- Width/Height
- Width and height of the map.
- Fixed
- Ablity to fix the position of the map disallowing users to change position of the map.
- Zoom scrollable
- This gives the user the ability to use the scroll wheel on the mouse to zoom the map.
- Default Map Type
- The default fault map type to display.
This is an information window that is display when the map is first displayed. This will be always
be displayed from the center of the map. The default width of the info window is 200 pixels.
These are some of the default controls that can be displayed in the map.
This gives the ability to add marker to the Google Map
and display information about the marker. Marker can be
placed on the map by entering the latitude, longitude pair
and clicking the Add button or by right clicking
anywhere on the map to place the marker.
- Title
- Change the marker's title attribute. Select the marker, change the title text and click the Update button.
- Latitude
- Marker latitude
- Longitude
- Marker longtiude
- Info Window Width
- The default width of an information window is 200 pixels.
- Info
- Infomation is displayed in a pop up when selecting
a marker. Enter the text in this field and click the
update button.
- Delete
- Used to delete the currently select marker.
- Add
- Enter the longitude and latitude of the marker and
select the 'Add' button to add a marker to the
map.
- Update
- The Update button updates the current information
of the selected marker.
- Pan to
- When the pan to checkbox is selected and any
markers that are selected. The map will pan to that
marker.
- Start and End Position
- This the start and end address of the route.
- Travel Mode
- A walking route will take through pedestrian walkways and sidewalks and a driving route will take you along streets and highways.
- Units
- Show the direction in imperial(miles) or metric(kilometers)
- Avoid Highways
- The route will try to avoid major highways.
- Preserve View
- If the map's position and zoom level are set, when the route
is display the map will not be bounded to accommodate the route. With this off,
the map will be positioned bounded to the route.
- Alternative Routes
- Show a list of alternative routes that a traveller can take and can select from a list of routes
in the directions' description.
- Go
- Search for the route
- Clear
- Clear the current route.
